If you’re exploring the Bay Area, be sure to check out the small island of Alameda. Alameda is located in the San Francisco Bay right outside of Oakland and is home to a variety of neighborhoods, each with its own unique personality.
We love this charming city, and we believe that it has something to offer everyone, from beach-goers to nature lovers to history buffs. While you’re in town, stop by Embarc Dispensary for easy access to weed and our local Guides will be happy to point out the best spots in town, while also helping you find the perfect product for your needs.
Since Alameda is a small island, Embarc Dispensary is conveniently located by nearly all of the island’s neighborhoods, but here are some of our favorite sights in each neighborhood in Alameda.
Downtown Alameda is the city’s historic center, and boasts a variety of shops and restaurants. The neighborhood is also home to the Alameda Museum, which chronicles the city’s history from its early days in the 1800s to present.
Some great spots include the Alameda Theater, the USS Hornet Museum, and the weekly farmer’s market. Try the Alameda Comedy Club for a night of laughs, or catch a show at the historic Fox Theater.
If you’re looking for a more laid-back atmosphere, head to West End Alameda. This neighborhood is located on the west side of the island and is known for its relaxed vibe.
The area has a number of parks, including Cragmont Park and Jean Sweeney Open Space Park. For a taste of the local flavor, be sure to check out Park Street, where you’ll find a variety of shops and restaurants, from casual cafes to upscale restaurants. Check out some of our favorite spots like Duarte’s Tavern and La Pena.
In case you need easy access to weed, Embarc Dispensary is located on the West End at 1616 Webster Street.
We’re excited to be serving up top quality cannabis products to our Alameda community.
South Shore is the perfect place for beach-goers and nature lovers. The neighborhood is home to Crown Memorial State Beach, where you can enjoy picnicking, swimming, and hiking.
For a closer look at the area’s wildlife, take a stroll through the South Shore Center Wetlands. This nature preserve is home to an array of birds, mammals, and reptiles. Crab Cove Visitor’s Center is another location in this neighborhood where you can learn about the island’s history and ecology.
For a taste of the island’s natural beauty, visit East Shore Alameda, also known as East End. This neighborhood is located on the east side of the island and offers stunning views of San Francisco and the Bay Bridge.
The area is home to a number of parks, including Robert W. Crown Memorial State Beach and Shoreline Park. There’s also a variety of hiking and biking trails, making it the perfect place to get some fresh air.
