Ensuring our cannabis ecosystems maintain a healthy presence in the communities we serve is a huge part of what we want to contribute to, as we are dedicated to supporting those that support us, and have made quite a few friends along the way – in restaurants, bars, and over cappuccinos.
Here are some business we love in Martinez:
Looking for some American fare classics on the Northern California coast? Wanting to feel a little home away from home after indulging in some Embarc goodies? Come on down to 811 Ferry St, where every guest is treated like family and leaves with a full belly.
Keeping it in the family since the 70s, Copper Skillet Courtyard serves up some of Martinez’s favorites with breakfast all day, every day. Their menu features over 40 omelets, dozens of sandwiches, and some locally-renowned meals such as The Cure, Tony’s Special, Triple Cheese Omelet, and Tater Tot Heaven.
The ambiance is akin to a homey, comfortable cabin in the redwoods with its wood-lined walls, quaint iron decor, and overall welcoming energy. Stop by and get your fill next time you’re in downtown Martinez, as the large portions at fair prices will certainly keep you coming back again for more!
One of Martinez’s coolest spots is in the heart of downtown on Escobar St, operating as a brewery, restaurant, and music venue all in one – we happily welcome you to enjoy Del Cielo Brewery! Their mission is simple and noble: With every pour helping you explore the world of beer.
Owned and operated by a local Latinx family whose values are clear and altruistic, Del Cielo Brewery gives you not just beer, but an experience. With their heavenly in-house brews, “Mi casa es tu casa” mantra, and belief in inspiring curiosity and community, you’re going to feel right at home and taken care of with every sip.
Their taproom offers outdoor dining, to-go beers (4 packs, growler, and crowler fills), and the occasional live music performance. Open six days a week with pickup orders available Tuesday through Sunday, with next-day shipping for beer cases, this brewery is a gem of the Martinez local business, foodie, and music-loving scenes.
Beans, brew, bread, and bud – oh my! States Coffee is a true Martinez-born cafe and bakery that offers some incredible treats sure to soothe local caffeine-lovers and bread connoisseurs alike.
Perched just blocks away from the water on 609 Ward St in a beautiful, historic brick building that once served as an all-American post office, States Coffee has that chill, hip, and rustic ambiance that emphasizes the NorCal vibe we’ve come to know and love.
Name a better way to enjoy the sun on your face and cool salty breeze than by sitting out on the patio with your favorite cold brew and a warm country sourdough… we’ll wait.
States Coffee’s doors were first opened to the public in Martinez on July 4th, 2015 by owner Keith Gehrke. A coffee industry veteran, Gehrke has nearly two decades of experience with roasting the delicious beans and utilizing the proper equipment to produce the best brews.
With his roots in the Bay Area, Gehrke began making more coffee products to ship and sell, all stationed in a rented warehouse near Martinez.
Eventually, the warehouse was being used as a roasting product showroom and cafe hybrid, as he began to also sell coffee drinks as a reflection of what his equipment can produce. You know what they say – if you brew it, they will come! The public loved Gehrke’s coffee and the lovely warehouse atmosphere, and the demand for a full-fledged business was clear.
Seeing this opportunity to give the people what they want (evidently, coffee and bread), Gehrke decided to merge businesses with friend and partner Brett Benzer, owner of Farm and Flour – giving us the esteemed States Coffee and Bread we adore to this day.
